Esports Caster - On Air Talent (Work Study) - Student Work Study job opportunities open to full-time Fanshawe College students who qualify for the Work Study Bursary program.
This opportunity is supported through The Work Study Employment Program, which is designed to provide work opportunities to Fanshawe College full-time post-secondary or post diploma students with a demonstrated financial need.

•Students at Fanshawe College must be a full-time registered student, and meet financial needs assessment criteria
*International Student must have a valid Work permit.

Successful candidates may be asked to apply to the Work Study Employment Program. The Work Study Employment Program will help Fanshawe Student Union financially to employ students over the summer, fall, and winter term.

Esports Caster - On Air Talent
The Esports Caster / On-Air Talent will be responsible for delivering live, engaging, and professional commentary and analysis during FSU Esports broadcasts. This role includes providing in-game play-by-play, color commentary, and insightful analysis across a variety of competitive titles, as well as representing the FSU Esports brand on stream. The caster must be comfortable working with production staff, engaging with viewers, and following scripted talking points, including sponsor and event messaging.
This is a part-time Work Study position designed for full-time Fanshawe College students.
Job Duties
Deliver energetic and accurate in-game play-by-play and color commentary for a range of Esports titles featured in the FSU Esports program
Offer insightful analysis and storytelling to enhance the viewer experience
Follow provided talking points, including sponsor promotions, upcoming events, and key program messages
Engage with viewers in a professional and welcoming manner during live broadcasts
Collaborate with fellow casters, production staff, and Esports team members
Adjust quickly to dynamic, live-streaming environments
Represent the FSU Esports brand with enthusiasm and professionalism on camera
Participate in rehearsals or production meetings as needed
Maintain technical setup (computer, microphone, streaming software) for remote broadcasting
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Must be a full-time Fanshawe College student approved for the Work Study program
Experience in Esports broadcasting or live casting
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for competitive gaming, streaming, and the Esports community
Ability to collaborate with a team and adapt quickly during live events
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Access to a high-quality personal computer and programs needed to participate in streams (e.g., OBS, Discord, streaming platforms)
Previous experience working remotely with live production is an asset
Reliable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines
Maintains professionalism on stream and in public-facing roles
