The Position:
Neelands Group Limited is searching for a Sheet Metal Worker (308A) (Term 1 - Term 5) Apprentice to join our team at the Burlington, Ontario location. This is a regular, full-time union position with a full union compensation package. Reporting to the Senior HVAC Manager, the Apprentice will work closely with the team on installation of HVAC systems.
Responsibilities:
Assist Journeyman to measure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed on projects according to specifications
Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with TDC, Cleats, bolts, and welded joints
Ensure that efficiency is maximized while installing HVAC systems while in fast-paced environment
Ensure making safety a priority on the job during all activities, including while using tools, installing and fabricating duct systems
Good housekeeping and organization
Work well independently and in a team environment
Qualifications:
Registered Apprentice (Term 1 - Term 5)
G3 Gas license (G2 is considered an asset)
Valid G license with a clean driver abstract
High School diploma
English language proficiency (read/write/speak)
Experience in brazing is considered an asset
Commercial and industrial HVAC experience an asset
