As a Material Handler, you will work on the manufacturing floor to assist in the production and assembly of equipment. You will be in close communication with various departments within the organization and will help coordinate the efficient flow of materials and finished goods into and out of the production process.
Location: 141 Consolidated Drive, Paris (role begins in Cambridge (100 Savage Drive) then moves to Paris late 2025, early 2026.)
Dedicated Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday - Thursday
Job Duties:
Safely and efficiently move raw materials and finished products between departments, maintaining the flow of production
Perform daily inspections of material handling equipment (Forklift, Walkie), and report any minor or major damage to the equipment
Organize and maintain 5S in storage areas within the plant and outside
Follow written directions; interpret schedules, shipping documents and drawings
Communicate with project managers and supervisors to understand production schedules
May perform other activities, such as unloading crates, opening containers and crates from outside vendors, and weighing and checking materials
Skills and Experience:
Adapt to a changing work environment, competing demands, the ability to handle frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Effective organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills
Keen attention to detail, an outstanding work ethic and the ability to multi-task
Physical requirements include; driving (80-90%), standing, and climbing
Understanding of MRP/ERP systems is an asset
Potential exposure to weather changes (hot, cold, wind, rain, etc.) when working outside
Heavy lifting may be required (up to 50lbs)
Qualifications:
Previous material handling experience in an industrial setting
Prior forklift training and experience is required
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Keen attention to detail, an outstanding work ethic and the ability to multi-task
