The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and maximizing profitability within the assigned territory. This role involves leading, coaching, and managing a high-performing sales team while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure consistent execution of strategic goals. The Regional Sales Director will be accountable for sales performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency, ensuring the team meets and exceeds targets in a competitive market.
Sales Strategy and Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive regional sales strategy aligned with corporate goals.
Lead, manage, and motivate a team of sales professionals to meet and exceed performance targets.
Set clear objectives and hold team members accountable for weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals.
Build and strengthen long-term relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
Collaborate with internal departments such as marketing, product, and customer experience to ensure unified go-to-market efforts.
Conduct regular business reviews and forecast meetings to track progress and adjust strategy as needed.
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and regional conferences to enhance visibility and establish market leadership.
Manage complex negotiations, contracts, and proposals to secure high-value deals.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date CRM usage across the regional sales team for pipeline and activity tracking.
Participate in demand planning and forecasting efforts, providing strategic insights and regional context.
Team Management and Performance Optimization
Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to enhance team capabilities and productivity.
Partner with HR and leadership in recruiting top sales talent aligned with organizational needs.
Promote a results-driven, customer-focused culture that values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Conduct regular field visits and joint customer calls to support team development and relationship building.
Monitor sales KPIs, analyze performance metrics, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Drive regional execution of national initiatives, product launches, and customer engagement strategies.
Qualifications:
10+ years of progressive experience in sales management, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing sales teams in dynamic, competitive markets.
Strong business acumen with the ability to develop strategies that align with organizational goals.
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Skilled in CRM systems, data analysis, and performance management tools.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills in both French and English (Intermediate level of English is required)
Ability to travel within the assigned region as needed.
Proficiency in English is required for this role as approximately 40% of the responsibilities involve regular communication with stakeholders based in the United States and Europe.
