Northland Properties Corporation is seeking a Manager of Special Projects to support the Capital Repairs project across its hotel portfolio.
Reporting directly to the Regional Project & Facility Manager and being an integral part of our Design & Construction Team, this is a hands-on, entry-level project management role with the opportunity to grow into more senior responsibilities over time. You’ll be involved in end-to-end project oversight of small to larger - scale projects — from budgeting, scheduling and logistics to vendor coordination and on-site support. Your key duties will include:
Take ownership of designated capital repair projects assigned by the Hotel Regional Directors or other.
Lead project management tasks, including planning, coordination, and continuous monitoring of work scope progression to ensure alignment with established timelines and objectives.
Estimate project costs, develop, manage budgets, negotiate best pricing practices and oversee financial tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
Plan and coordinate site visits to hotel and facility locations to monitor progress and support execution.
Monitor project progress, flag risks or delays, and provide regular updates to the Regional Project & Facility Manager.
Handle project-related and site administrative functions, including purchase orders, deliveries, and construction inventory.
Process payroll, expenses, and invoices for active projects.
Support the growth and development of company culture and professionally represent Northland Properties.
Perform other duties as required.
What we are looking for?
Post-secondary education in Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
2-3 years of related work experience.
Proven customer service, hospitality experience is a big plus (hotel / restaurant).
Intermediate knowledge of preventative maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and swimming pool.
Good understanding of project management principles, budgeting, and scheduling.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word); experience with project management or accounting software is an asset.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites across BC and Alberta as required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external vendors.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills; able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
A proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused mindset.

Salary range: CAD $60,000–$66,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
