POSITION SUMMARY
This temporary role will work on creative marketing solutions, graphic design, production design, ensuring a timely delivery of designs, and executing creative materials for a variety of assets, including, but not limited to, digital content, paid media assets, web banners, landing pages, social media platforms, emails, printed materials, sales collateral, animations, video and PowerPoint presentations. This role must have a strong understanding of social media platforms and stay up to date on trends, audiences and the marketing principles that make digital content stand out from the crowd.
This person will be a self-starter, able to shift focus quickly and adapt to various project needs within tight deadlines. They will be accountable for the quality and technical proficiency of their own work and that of their team, ensuring any pertinent laws and regulations are followed. A successful person in this role will provide multiple design variations and options, with creative design solutions to meet the objectives of the business. This role will liaise directly with the Marketing Manager for Brendan Vacations and Creative Director about any scheduling, design-related issues, while cultivating a positive working relationship across the entire business.]
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain established corporate brand standards and consistency of message across all published materials and media to ensure the brand integrity is upheld within all deliverables
Lead and assist in design concepts, layouts and treatments for Brendan across various marketing channels for regional needs and present to the team
Responsible for the design and production of all types of digital assets used in organic and paid channels
Image source for a high volume of collateral, ensuring they adhere to audience, brief and brand
Production and pre-press production for print materials such as ads, brochures, direct mailers, posters, banners, etc.
Photo editing, color correction and image manipulation
Create and edit video content
Create animated/motion graphic content
Create PowerPoint templates for various purposes and set up as master templates in the platform
Use Project Management System to manage workloads and priorities
Multitask and prioritize multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously
Provide multiple options and variations that meet the brief all while introducing new creative solutions if the intended designs are not meeting business objectives
Create and export files in various formats, for various channels ensuring all information is accurate and files meet technical requirements - from file size, type and colour profile, etc, to adhering to accessibility standards
Evaluate individual design deliverable
ROLE SUCCESS CRITERIA
Proven digital and graphic design experience with strong portfolio
An eye for aesthetically-pleasing compositions and layouts
Strong image skills – sourcing, editing, composition and color correction
Strong Typographic skills
Creative copywriting and sub-editing skills
Designing for Web and Paid Social in-channel apps
Understanding of video editing and animation principles and trends
Strong video editing, photography and copywriting/editing skills
Proven ability to achieve in fast-paced work environments, and of taking accountability for high-quality delivery of work
Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas, fostering design thinking among the team
Up to date with trends in creative design, digital design techniques, media platforms and software
Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task and effectively manage several projects at once
Can-do attitude and an eagerness to learn new techniques

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE
5+ years graphic and digital design experience with a strong portfolio
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, notably InDesign, Photoshop, XD, Illustrator and Acrobat, with experience using Premiere Pro and After Effects desired.
Familiar with setting up and exporting of files for various formats across print, digital and social formats such as in-feed, stories, Pmax and Google DV 360
Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Internet proficiency (HTML preferred)
Experience working with PMS and CMS systems
