Duties and responsibilities of the Customs Analyst include, but are not limited
to:
- Understanding trade programs administered by CBSA, CSA Accounting, Free Trade
Agreements, classification, valuation, origin, and compliance monitoring
- Basic customs knowledge on release procedures
- Experience with internal Company systems
- Support FCA Canada import/ export activities
- Duty recovery & avoidance initiatives
- Various projects/ initiatives
- Vacation coverage as needed
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree
- Successful completion and maintenance of the Canadian Society of Customs
Brokers Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Canada Border Service Agency
(CBSA) Professional Examination. Copy of the certification will be required
- The successful candidate must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
computer applications
- Must demonstrate strong analytical skills to extract, analyze and present
data
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment is required
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
