The Data Center Network Lab focuses on advancing next-generation data center
networks and transport technologies. Working together with industry experts, the
lab addresses complex networking challenges and integrates innovative research
into various product lines. The team specializes in network protocol and
architecture design for computing, cloud and storage interconnections, aiming to
establish a leading network system. This lab fosters personal and professional
growth, encouraging learning and team development in the digital intelligence
era.
About the job:

Responsible for the technical planning in the computing network and cloud
network domains. Focusing on the innovation in the computing, cloud, or
storage domains, especially on the high-performance data exchange, and
network-computing-storage codesign.

Responsible for planning the technical routes and incubating breaking-through
innovations that help the company build technical competitiveness.

Responsible for industrial and academic technological insights, figuring out
the innovation opportunity, promoting the acceptance of innovation
technologies within the company, and promoting the company's technology
investment and layout.

Collaborate with experts and HiSilicon/computing/cloud/storage product lines
to promote the implementation of innovative technologies into commercial
products.
The base salary for this position ranges from $190,000 to $350,000 depending on
education, experience and demonstrated expertise.
About the ideal candidate:

PhD in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Software Engineering or
related field.

Experience in designing, developing, and researching cloud network
architecture, computer architecture, or high-performance computing platforms.

Understanding of computing/cloud systems and communication networks
and experience in leading large-scale R&D projects in related fields.

Understanding of operating systems, communication protocol stacks, and
hardware interconnection architecture.

Familiar with the latest progress in the industry and academia; Strong
curiosity, insight ability, and sense of direction about new technologies;
Good at exploring large-granularity innovation opportunities.

Understanding of the computing architecture, AI, cloud computing, storage, or
related technical directions. Familiar with one or two sub-domains above, and
have cross-domain background knowledge.

Theoretical knowledge about one of the accelerators, such as NPU, GPU, or DPU
is an asset.
