As a Talent Specialist, you will play a key role in full-cycle recruitment for our retail locations across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario, as well as our warehouse and corporate office. You’ll partner with hiring managers, develop innovative recruitment strategies, and ensure a seamless and engaging candidate experience. We’re looking for a proactive and resourceful recruiter who is skilled at identifying top talent, building strong relationships, and adapting to a fast-changing labor market. Role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead full-cycle recruitment for a multi-provincial, mid-sized retail operation Partner with HR, Payroll, and Operations to ensure smooth transitions from recruitment to onboarding Tailor strategies to suit the nuances of various retail brands and regional markets Maintain up-to-date job descriptions, recruitment templates, and documentation Screen resumes, conduct interviews (phone, virtual, and in-person), and check references Schedule interviews and maintain clear communication with both hiring teams and candidates Manage and track candidates using an applicant tracking system (ATS) Ensure timely feedback and closure of recruitment loops to provide an excellent candidate experience Execute both active and passive sourcing strategies to meet staffing goals Collect and analyze recruitment metrics to improve efficiency and effectiveness Support hiring managers with training on best practices and recruitment strategies Experience and Qualifications Minimum 2 years of talent acquisition or recruitment experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Experience in manufacturing, liquor, or cannabis is a major asset Post-secondary diploma or degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred Experience supporting others in a train-the-trainer recruitment model is an asset Understanding of employment standards, human rights legislation, and compliance in recruitment Proficiency with ATS and HRIS platforms Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and recruitment data tools Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a basic background check Personal Characteristics and Abilities Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple roles across various departments Detail-oriented with excellent scheduling and coordination skills Approachable and professional, with strong relationship-building abilities Adaptable and agile — thrives in a fast-moving, evolving environment Focused on providing a high-quality candidate experience Strong sense of discretion, confidentiality, and professional ethics Proactive problem solver who identifies opportunities for improvement Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills As a valued member of the SNDL team, you will enjoy: Competitive total compensation and incentives A top-notch extended benefits package including medical, vision and dental An entrepreneurial and innovative environment that fosters growth and continuous learning We are grateful for the interest in this role from all candidates, however, we will be contacting only those that are selected for next steps in the hiring process.
