Vita Coco is hiring a Market Sales Manager, who will support efforts at Store and Market level, to achieve revenue and distribution goals, as well as lead retail execution initiatives toward improving the performance of our Broker and Distributor partners in Quebec and other provinces. The Market Sales Manager will develop and maintain relationships with our Broker retail team and Distributor network, to increase share of mind across all levels of their organizations, identify opportunities, influence them to capitalize and hold all accountable for execution.
This role is based out of Quebec, Canada reporting directly to the Senior Manager Strategic Channel Canada.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, Prepare and Execute:
Ongoing Broker retail training and work withs
Store and Market level initiatives
Volume, distribution and retail execution targets
Trade shows, Sampling events, Market blitzes
Action plans to address gaps in distribution and performance
Measure and Improve
Execution against all of the above
Display execution
POG adherence
Broker and Distributor Management
Provide consistent communication relating to execution against distribution targets, display programs and incentive plans
Conduct regular business reviews, developing appropriate cadence for each
Facilitate resolution of issues
Collaboration and Teamwork
Forge strong partnership with Vita Coco Market Development team, providing them with Distributor support and resources needed to win at retail
Assess the competitive landscape and communicate insights
Key Call Points
Broker retail management and sales team
Vita Coco Market Development Managers
Independent Distributor Sales Team
Key in-store decision makers
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree
Years of experience: 3-5 years field sales and merchandising in the food & beverage industry
Professional Experience:
Broker retail management
Distributor sales management
Retail and Visual merchandising
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Strong business acumen, relationship management skills, customer focus, and drive for results
Ability to lift cases of product between 10-35 pounds
Must have a valid driver’s license
Technical Skills Required: Must be able to use basic features in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Fluency in both French and English is required.
