The AML Data Specialist, AML/ATF Data Management (Contract) plays a key role in
supporting the day-to-day data operations of the AML department and primarily
contributes to strategic projects currently underway for the AML team. This is a
contract position with the potential for conversion to full-time based on
individual performance.
The role assists the Director, AML/ATF Data, Analytics and Operations in the
ongoing data operations and reporting for Equitable Bank’s enterprise-wide
AML/ATF program. It will be critical in supporting the team’s data-related
initiatives, including overseeing SQL Server/Fabric database management and
design, managing end-to-end data mapping, ensuring data completeness and
accuracy, and identifying and addressing data gaps. This essential role ensures
the AML team operates with reliable, accurate, and robust data to support both
ongoing and future projects.

The Core Responsibilities!
- Database Management and Design: Oversee and, when necessary, handle database
design, implementation, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and
reliability.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data completeness and accuracy by identifying
and addressing gaps or missing information.
- Data Governance: Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures
to uphold data integrity and meet regulatory standards.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Conduct data analysis and prepare reports to
support informed decision-making, sharing insights with relevant
stakeholders.
- Departmental Collaboration: Liaise with various departments to understand
their data requirements and create data management strategies that align with
business goals.
- AML Team Support: Provide consistent, accurate data support to the AML team
for their analysis and reporting needs.
- Training and Development: Train and mentor team members on best practices for
data management and utilization.
- Respond to Ad Hoc Requests: Address ad hoc requests promptly, ensuring
flexibility and attention to detail.
- Issue Management: Log and address issues promptly, collaborating with
stakeholders to resolve them effectively.
- Support to Director: Provide ongoing support to the Director of AML/ATF Data,
Analytics and Operations.
Let's Talk About You!
- Degree in Computer Science or IT, master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a database-related role (e.g., Database
Administrator (DBA), Data Architect, ETL Developer, SQL Developer, Database
Manager), with hands-on experience working with Microsoft Fabric or similar
data platform technologies for data integration, modeling, and management.
- Working knowledge of the database management & design is required.
- Working knowledge of the ETL processes is required.
- Proficient in SQL, Azure, Fabric, programming in python
- Quick in learning and getting acquainted with new software and processes.
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail and well organized.
- Strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
- Should be able to work in a team setting and will work closely with other
organizational teams to support their projects.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and independently with high degree of
accuracy.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities (multi-tasking).

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working
from Equitable Bank’s additional office space located at 2200-25 Ontario Street,
Toronto, ON.
