We are currently seeking a Team Lead, Talent Attraction to join our team for a 12-month Contract.
The Team Lead, Talent Attraction, holds a critical position within our organization, responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Talent Attraction team in addition to maintaining an active recruitment portfolio. This leader will blend hands-on recruitment with task management, ensuring the seamless execution of talent attraction initiatives that fuel business growth and foster an exceptional candidate experience.
Here’s what would be included as a part of your typical day
Leadership: Provides operational leadership to a team of recruitment professionals to ensure programs and services are delivered effectively and efficiently. Provides coaching and development, and establishes annual goals and objectives, and assesses performance of direct reports. Provides coaching and leadership to business leaders to grow capability across organization in hiring managers, to create and foster a referral/recruiting mindset.
Recruitment Tools: Researches, designs and implements broad talent attraction plans and recruitment tools, linking to our employer brand. Contributes to developing and updating recruitment metrics/reporting to support workforce planning analysis.
Full Cycle Recruitment: Leads the full-cycle recruitment process to source quality candidates for recruitment of senior, specialized positions. Leverages technology, including ATS and social/online media. Supports performance leaders with the hiring and on-boarding processes which includes sourcing, screening resumes, interviews and assessments, referencing, offers, system updates, and on-boarding.
Pipeline Development: Develops and leverages innovative sourcing channels which produce a steady stream of qualified talent, through market research, social media, job fairs, in-house events, networking, seminars/presentations, and “Keep in Touch” programs. Represents the Talent Attraction team externally in working groups and committees.
Relationship Building: Partners with hiring managers to forecast staffing requirements. Stays abreast of projected role and skill requirements, upcoming projects and the department’s priorities. Evaluates current trends, competitive activity, economic factors, and build/update recruiting plans based on that knowledge.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field required
CPHR certification an asset
5 years related experience with 1 year in a leadership capacity
Experience creating and implementing projects, processes, and systems from inception to completion
Preferred experience working in a recruiting agency or sales role and/or financial services industry
Innovative thinker with the ability to prioritize and operationalize practical solutions & activities and meet deadlines in fast-paced, changing environment
Strong business acumen accompanied by a strong customer-centric orientation and excellent stakeholder engagement
Strong leadership and ability to empower, lead and coach a team
Experience working with applicable technologies including an Applicant Tracking System, HCM and Microsoft applications
Comprehensive understanding of federal and provincial employment/labour laws
Proficient in Microsoft applications
Strong knowledge of local, national and niche job markets
Strong knowledge of social media and innovative channels to drive messaging and attraction
Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
