Role Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of infrastructure and cybersecurity projects. This role ensures alignment with business objectives, project governance, and technology standards, while engaging cross-functional teams and site-level operations.
Working closely with stakeholders across infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, data, and external vendors, this role plans and executes high-impact projects that contribute to Teck’s digital transformation.

Responsibilities
Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Manage infrastructure and cybersecurity project lifecycles from initiation to closeout.
Coordinate with external vendors, construction teams, and internal site resources for seamless field execution.
Ensure alignment with Teck’s standards, including safety, procurement, and operational procedures.
Lead the preparation and tracking of work orders, change requests, purchase orders and contract change orders
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and milestones using PMO-approved tools and templates.
Plan and manage resources needs and capacity throughout project lifecycle
Support and coordinate change management plans to ensure successful adoption/transition to operations
Ensure adherence to PMO governance framework and risk/change management protocols
Provide regular status reports to leadership, including performance metrics, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Facilitate collaboration across site-based teams (e.g., operations, maintenance, mining systems, digital analytics, applications, finance, HR).
Coordinate change management plans with TDS leadership and business stakeholders, ensuring smooth adoption and minimal disruption.
Support lessons learned activities and project closeout documentation.
Qualifications
Proven ability to lead complex infrastructure and cybersecurity projects in a matrixed environment.
Strong relationship-building skills across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and change orders.
Demonstrated understanding of applications and data systems and how they integrate with infrastructure and security domains.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and understanding operational needs.
Comfortable working across software implementations, system integration, and field-based deployment projects.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, UMT), and collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Confluence, PowerBI).
Preferred Qualifications
PMP or equivalent certification.
Experience decommissioning and/or rationalizing applications and legacy technologies in complex environments
Experience in mining, heavy industry, or similar industrial environments.
Familiarity with ERP, asset management, and enterprise data systems.
Preferred but not required, cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and IT/OT convergence challenges.
Bilingual Spanish preferred
