About the Role!
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer responsible for ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of infrastructure and applications. This position will work closely with development teams to streamline our software delivery pipeline and implement best practices for continuous integration and deployment.
You will work in an engineering-oriented fast-paced environment, with minimal management and detailed task definition. You need to be a self-starter and excel at making your own decisions and organizing your work according to the declared goals.
This is a remote position with working hours in Pacific Time (PT).
You will
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Gradle and Git to support efficient, automated software delivery.
Manage and optimize infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Support applications built in Golang, ensuring reliable deployment and runtime operations.
Collaborate with developers to set up monitoring and alerting using tools like NewRelic, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
Implement and manage Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration.
Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform/Pulumi for scalable and repeatable deployments.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure performance, availability, and reliability.
Work with Kafka and Cassandra
Continuously evaluate and implement improvements to enhance security, efficiency, and scalability
You have
7+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering with DevOps responsibilities.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Familiarity with Golang, or a strong willingness to learn.
Hands-on experience with GCP services.
Proficiency in Gradle and Git for build and version control.
Must be a resident of Canada and be eligible to work in Canada
Ability to work during the Pacific Time Zone's regular business hours
Flexible to attend remote meetings during the evening when required.
