This position is a hybrid role based out of our Vancouver, BC office About the role: As a Senior Tax Manager within our North America Tax team, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing U.S. tax compliance, tax provision support, and strategic tax initiatives for Colliers’ U.S. operations, headquartered in Vancouver. This is a key role for a technically strong and detail-oriented tax professional looking to make a broad impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. In this role, you will: Lead tax compliance processes: Oversee the preparation and review of U.S. corporate and partnership tax returns, including forms 1120, 1065, 5471, 5472, and other informational filings. Drive tax provision and audit readiness: Support quarterly and annual tax provisions and manage federal and state audits, ensuring accurate surplus and E&P calculations. Assist with indirect and state-level tax filings: Review and support business & occupancy tax returns, gross receipts taxes, and other state-level filings. Collaborate closely with accounting and finance: Act as a key tax resource, providing excellent internal service and clear guidance on U.S. income and commodity tax matters. Coordinate with external advisors: Manage and review outsourced U.S. tax filings to ensure completeness and compliance with current tax regulations. What you bring: Degree and/or designation in: Accounting; CPA designation required. 8–10 years of experience, preferably in: U.S. tax compliance within professional services or corporate settings. Proven experience in U.S. corporate and partnership tax returns: Including surplus and E&P calculations. Strong proficiency in: Microsoft Excel and U.S. tax preparation software (Go Systems or Onesource). Exceptional communication skills: Ability to translate complex tax matters clearly and build strong partnerships across departments.
