YOUR OPPORTUNITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Actively pursue and acquire new event bookings utilizing effective sales
techniques
- Provide innovative ideas and input for increasing sales numbers, bookings and
inquiries
- Use superb customer service, communication and negotiation skills to
establish new client and vendor relationships as well as nurturing existing
ones
- Conduct in person and virtual wedding, social and corporate
sales appointments with inquiring and existing clients
- Conduct sales calls and venue tours, being the first point of contact for
prospective and returning clients
- Conduct details appointments with clients for their upcoming events, creating
accurate BEOs and maintaining superb communication throughout the planning
process with our clients and internal team members
- Respond to customer inquiries, needs and concerns in a friendly, personal and
efficient manner
- Create event contracts and collect deposits
- Staying up to date with current hospitality and event industry trends
- Attend and conduct scheduled team meetings to guarantee successful execution
of events
- Be a part of execution of events as required
WHAT YOU BRING:
- 3 - 5 years of special event, hospitality or travel and tourism related
experience
- 2 - 3 years of leadership experience
- Post Secondary education, in Business Administration, Hospitality or related
field
- A sales or marketing Degree from a recognized University is considered an
asset
- Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA) or Wedding Planner Institute
of Canada (WPIC) certification is considered an asset
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- A team-oriented approach to work with strong abilities to provide and receive
professional feedback for collective growth
- Customer service mindset as well as a high level of ethics and integrity
- Flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends, to address client
needs
