Position based in Auburn Hills, Michigan (U.S.) / Eligibility to TN Visa required; must be a Canadian citizen (mandatory).Job DescriptionDesign, develop, and release powertrain, differential, EDM, and cradle mounts from concept to vehicle launchCoordinate validation and testing with cross-functional teams (NVH, Dynamics, Vehicle Integration, Stress Lab, CAE)Lead component design using FMEA and CAE toolsEnsure vehicle packaging compliance and drawing/model integrityManage change processes (CN, EBOM/CODEP) and issue tracking (GIMs)Oversee component validation (DVP&R)Support builds at OEM assembly and supplier plantsDesign fastened joints and develop torque specificationsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field with 2 to 5 years of experience in automotive.Experience in powertrain and chassis system design/releaseProficient in FMEA, CAE, and DVP&R processesKnowledge of vehicle packaging and drawing best practicesFamiliarity with change management systems (CN, EBOM/CODEP)Skilled in issue tracking with GIMsExperience with fastener joint design and torque specification developmentAbility to coordinate with cross-functional teams for validation/testingBuild support experience at OEM and supplier facilitiesAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
