Join the Pros! National Fire Equipment Ltd. is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Expeditor to support order tracking, vendor communication, and shipment coordination. You’ll ensure timely deliveries, resolve delays, and keep internal teams informed on order status. This role also provides backup support to the Purchasing Department and handles various administrative tasks related to procurement and logistics. What you will do: Order Tracking and Monitoring follow up with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery for Purchase & Transfer orders status ETA Management and Communication obtain and maintain estimated time of arrival (ETA) for all inbound shipments. Delay Resolution and Escalation working with suppliers and freight carriers to expedite delayed shipments. Communicate any long-term product shortages and/or quality issues to Buyers Communicate delays to Sales Staff for special order items Air shipment follow-ups with vendor to request tracking details, freight costs & commercial invoice Obtain tracking information from vendor & contact freight forwarders to obtain status updates for delivery Scheduling Pickups with Warehouse arrange and coordinate pickups for specific vendors with our shipping/receiving department and confirm pickup readiness and communicate details. Internal Collaboration act as a liaison between purchasing, logistics, warehouse and operation teams to ensure alignment on delivery expectations and project timelines. Assist with shipping and PO discrepancy resolution with respective warehouse/vendor Request Purolator freight quotes This position will also be the back-up support for the Purchasing Dept as required Various other Purchasing Administrative functions What you will bring: Completion of a Post-secondary degree or diploma A minimum of 3 years experience in Expediting/Inventory is an asset MS office proficiency, strong Excel required. Skills: Analytical and Problem-solving skills Team player with strong communication skills (English - both written and oral) Proven ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively with high sense of urgency Knowledge of supply chain and inventory methodologies and principles would be an asset Self-starter.
