Position Summary: 407 ETR is currently seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Enterprise Content Governance Lead to add to our team. The Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and governing of enterprise-wide content, records, and policy management strategies. This role will have a strong focus on Microsoft SharePoint 365, ensuring optimal use, structure, and governance of the platform to support collaboration, compliance, and knowledge sharing across the organization. Responsibility: Content, Records & Policy Management Develop and implement enterprise content and records management strategies aligned with business and regulatory requirements. Define and enforce record retention schedules, classification schemes, and disposition policies across digital repositories. Oversee the creation, revision, approval, and distribution of corporate policies and procedures, ensuring they are current, accessible, and compliant. Maintain a centralized repository for all corporate policies and procedures, with version control and audit trails. SharePoint 365 Oversight Serve as the primary administrator and strategist for SharePoint Online (M365). Design and manage SharePoint sites, libraries, workflows, and permissions with a focus on secure and compliant content storage. Implement retention labels, policies, and automated workflows within SharePoint and Microsoft Purview (formerly Compliance Center). Governance & Compliance Establish and maintain content governance frameworks, metadata standards, and taxonomy models. Conduct audits and risk assessments to ensure adherence to retention policy, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and IT Security teams to align content and policy practices with organizational standards. Collaboration & Training Partner with departments to understand content and policy needs and ensure proper classification, retention, and accessibility. Provide training and support to end-users on content lifecycle management, SharePoint functionality, and policy compliance. In collaboration with HR and Communication teams, promote user adoption through change management and communication strategies. Technology & Innovation Evaluate and implement tools and technologies that enhance content lifecycle, records, and policy management. Monitor trends in ECM, M365, and information governance to recommend improvements and innovations (i.e: copilot). Integrate SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 tools (e.g., Teams, Power Automate, OneDrive) to streamline workflows. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Library Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. 3+ years of experience in enterprise content, records, or policy management, with at least 2 years managing SharePoint 365 environments. Strong understanding of records management principles and retention schedules. Experience managing corporate policies and procedures, including version control and approval workflows. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, OneDrive, Microsoft Purview). Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
