Position Summary
Under the direction of the Surveillance Manager, this position is responsible for monitoring interior and exterior areas of a property by closed circuit television cameras and maintaining visual records. Works closely with other departments such as security and IT, to ensure a coordinated response to any incidents. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
Monitors, documents and reports violations, large cash/cash equivalents transactions, excluded and self-excluded guests and unauthorized access
Maintains logs and records; storing records for evidence purposes
Monitoring, documenting, and reporting on conditions of surveillance facilities and equipment
Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Qualification Requirements
High School Diploma or Post secondary education in criminology or a suitable combination of education and experience an asset
Minimum 1 year of work experience; experience in security or surveillance an asset
Computer proficiency
Keen eye for detail, with the ability to focus on monitors for long periods of time
Adherence to high standards, methods, and procedures
Inquisitive, investigative mind, able to identify suspicious behaviors /transactions and make sound judgments based on this;
Ability to multi-task and prioritize;
Must be able to work independently, without close direct supervision, and apply good judgment and discretion under pressure;
Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Gaming Registration within applicable province (New Brunswick).

Secure back-office environment, sitting and watching footage for long periods of time
The role requires a flexible schedule that adapts to 24/7 operation, and will have non-traditional work hours including holidays, evening, overnight or weekend shifts.
