WHO YOU ARE
You’re a user-focused UX/UI Designer with a strong understanding of user-centered design principles, research best practices, and usability testing. You have excellent problem solving skills and work well both independently and collaboratively. You thrive on turning research insights into intuitive, effective designs, and you’re passionate about validating design decisions through evidence and empathy.
THE ROLE
As a UX/UI Designer at Tradable Bits, you’ll play a key role in shaping the user experience across our platform. Your work will span user research, product design, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll bring the voice of the user into every step of the design process and help us build intuitive, user-friendly solutions.
This is a primarily in-office role, based from Vancouver location.
Responsibilities will include:
Conducting user research and feedback sessions to uncover needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
Designing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity user interfaces for web and mobile environments.
Creating user flows, site maps, and interaction models to enhance the overall user experience.
Collaborating with developers to ensure design feasibility and smooth implementation.
Working with stakeholders across product, engineering, and marketing to align on goals, run A/B tests, and interpret user data.
Providing strategic input into design and UX best practices, with an eye for continual process improvement.
Balancing business objectives, user needs, and insights from analytics to guide design decisions.
Prioritizing projects and allocating available design resources in monthly sprint cycles.
Maintaining and evolving our design system & style guides.
Iterating on designs based on feedback from users, stakeholders, and test results.
Staying up to date with industry trends, emerging design tools, and UX methodologies.
MUST HAVE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in UX/UI Design, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design processes, from research to high-fidelity UI.
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, or similar.
Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
Ability to interpret user feedback and product analytics to inform design decisions.
Strong sense of initiative and ability to work independently
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
