Job Summary This is a senior-level role designed for a highly skilled building performance professional specializing in energy modeling. The role emphasizes technical leadership, project oversight, and mentorship for junior and intermediate team members, as well as supporting business development and client interactions. Responsibilities & Qualifications Key Responsibilities: Execute advanced and parametric energy simulations across multiple software platforms (e.g., eQuest, IESVE, EnergyPlus). Perform QA/QC reviews and maintain high-quality standards in deliverables. Lead in developing custom tools and workflows for improved modeling efficiency. Prepare clear, high-quality technical reports and presentations. Interact professionally with clients and maintain long-term relationships. Support in fee proposal writing and workload planning. Supervise and coach junior and intermediate staff, ensuring quality delivery and professional growth. Provide technical guidance and delegate tasks efficiently. Required Knowledge: Deep familiarity with building energy codes and green building standards: ASHRAE, NECB, LEED, CaGBC Zero Carbon, Passive House, etc. and provincial and municipal codes like BC Energy Step Code, Toronto Green Standard. Proficient understanding of MEP systems, architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings. Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D modeling software. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $90,000 - $100,000 annually for this position and local market.
