Queen Margaret’s School is accepting applications from qualified candidates for Teacher On Call (TOC) positions for the 2025-2026 school year. Opportunities are available in all subject areas from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

Candidates must have completed a Bachelor of Education degree and be members of (or eligible for membership with) the BC Teacher Regulation Branch.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and relevant lessons in alignment with the BC Ministry of Education curriculum and the QMS mission, vision, and values.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning and language needs.
Integrate technology effectively to support student learning.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
Demonstrate enthusiasm, energy, and a passion for lifelong learning.
Serve as a positive role model in all interactions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge of best-practice instructional strategies.
Strong background in differentiated instruction and student-centered assessment.
Experience integrating educational technology tools into teaching.
Ability to create a safe, trusting, and culturally responsive learning environment.
Understanding of BC’s K–9 curriculum and competency-based education principles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
Experience or interest in working in a residential environment.
Standard First Aid certification or higher.
A valid driver’s license and clean driver abstract.
