Keyera Career Opportunity Job Type: Permanent Location: Cynthia Facility – approximately 45 minutes west of Drayton Valley, Alberta Position Type: Full-Time The Position: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Millwright to join our team at the Cynthia facility. This role supports operations by ensuring equipment reliability, participating in safety initiatives, and driving operational excellence through proactive maintenance and leadership. Facility Overview: The Cynthia gas plant offers a full range of gas processing services including: Inlet compression Sour gas processing Deep cut NGL recovery via turbo expander Acid gas injection Oil emulsion treating The facility receives raw gas from numerous wells connected by an extensive pipeline network, supporting a complex and high-performance operation. Key Equipment Exposure: Deep-cut processing facilities with turbo expander Refrigeration and amine plant Acid gas injection systems Oil battery operations 13MW power generation turbine Natural gas engines Screw compressors Reciprocating and multistage centrifugal compressors PDI and centrifugal pumps Aerial coolers Mobile equipment Key Responsibilities: Perform Preventive Maintenance (PMs) and Corrective Maintenance (CMs) Support daily operations and collaborate closely with operations personnel Lead and oversee crews during equipment overhauls and turnaround activities Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a strong safety culture Administer parts and materials, including procurement and inventory Maintain documentation, reports, and work orders using Maximo Support Management of Change (MOC) processes Participate in oil analysis and vibration monitoring programs Provide input into budgeting and cost tracking Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement Participate in the on-site Maintenance Development Program Qualifications & Requirements: Minimum 5–10 years of experience as a Journeyman Millwright or Heavy Duty Mechanic in the oil & gas industry Alberta Journeyman’s Certification Valid certifications: H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG, First Aid, Fall Protection Clean driving record and valid driver’s license Strong PC skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings Self-starter with proactive initiative and ability to work independently Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and troubleshooting skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Physically capable of performing all aspects of the role (lifting, working at heights, etc.) Willingness to work in seasonal weather conditions and on a shift rotation Availability for overtime and participation in a rotating on-call schedule Our Culture & Values: We believe in building a workplace where people feel empowered and supported.
