Are you a seasoned Business Intelligence (BI) Developer looking to make an impact in a dynamic organization? Factors Group is a large manufacturing company and certified B Corp, searching for a confident BI Developer to join our team and lead the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of our enterprise BI products, with a strong focus on migrating from on-premise solutions to Azure cloud-based services.

Permanent, Full-time
Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (flexible hours)
Hybrid in the office in Coquitlam
In your role, you will be responsible for:
BI Solution Design and Development:
Our current systems are SSIS, SSRS, SSAS ect. You will manage these, and design and implement BI systems to support current and future business requirements.
Collaborate with data analysts and end users to create and manage data models.
Work alongside the Data Engineer creating ETL processes and ensure efficient data transformation and loading.
Cloud Migration:
Lead the migration of on-premise BI solutions (SSIS, SSRS) to Azure cloud-based platforms such as Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory.
Ensure seamless data flow and integration with existing databases and data warehouses.
AI and Data Analysis:
Manage infrastructure for effective AI deployment and develop AI algorithms to enhance data analysis capabilities.
Perform data analysis, profiling, and cleansing.
Team and future state:
Provide coaching and leadership to junior staff.
Stay updated on trends in new technologies, particularly cloud-based AI technologies.
You have:
7+ years of experience with on-prem BI tools like SSIS, SSRS, and strong SQL Server skills
Experience with Azure Synapse or Data Factory is a plus, but we’re happy to support learning on the job
Skilled in Power BI, with strong M, DAX, and MDX knowledge
Comfortable using Python or R for data analysis or machine learning
Clear and confident communicator in English, both written and spoken
Works well with different teams and departments
Strong at solving problems and analyzing technical issues
Focused on delivering great service to users and stakeholders
Can handle multiple projects and prioritize effectively
Always looking for ways to improve how things are done
Motivated to learn and grow with new tools and methods
