Cannon Automotive a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a
Production Lead Hand in our Windsor Ontario Hot Stamping Facility. The Production Lead Hand is responsible for assisting the production supervisor. The ideal candidate will have prior experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:
Assisting the Production Supervisor in the leading, motivating and coaching of the production team to ensure the efficient operation of manufacturing to meet objectives as they relate to safety, quality, production that meet or exceed our customer requirements and organizational objectives
Assisting the Production Supervisor in the success of employee results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring and appraising job results, training, coaching and counselling.
Assisting the Production Supervisor in maintaining workflow by monitoring steps of the process, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points while helping to foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
Review production plan and the assignment of employees, accomplishing work results by establishing priorities, monitoring progress, problem solving and reporting results of the processing flow on the appropriate documentation
Resolve technical problems that arise and coordinate line changeovers
Maintain daily production records and required documentation
Ensure the proper training is completed prior to the assignment of any tasks
Ensure the proper cleaning and organization of all work areas are completed
Promote and participate in a safe and healthy work environment
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of High School or equivalent
2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
Proven experience working independently with the ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to retain information and communicate effectively
Ability to perform repetitive work and motion
Ability to lift 20kg

Currently employee with CCTS
