Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Events Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events across Banff Caribou Properties extensive portfolio. This dynamic role encompasses securing and managing a diverse range of events including corporate meetings, social gatherings, and weddings, while strategically driving event revenue and ensuring exceptional guest experience through each stage of booking.
Reporting to the VP Sales & Marketing, the Events Manager will be a key member of the sales team and will assist in the following responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities
Execute sales strategies to maximize group bookings that align with each properties market, and revenue goals
Work with the Revenue Management teams to align group rates with overall pricing strategies
Liaise between clients and on-site teams to ensure client expectations are exceeded
Train and manage a team of event coordinators to ensure consistent service standards across all locations
Provide post-event follow-up to gather feedback, foster repeat business, and maintain long-term client relationships
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators and market trends to evaluate strategic direction and identify opportunities for optimization
Analyze current workflows and implement improvements that increase operational efficiency and reduce process time
Requirements
Experience in event planning, coordination, or event management, preferably within the hospitality industry is an asset
Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
Comfortable managing on-site logistics and resolving issues in real-time
Excellent business and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive work environment
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing, motivating, and developing a team to achieve high performance
