Job Summary:
The Labourer – Touch up Painter is responsible for producing high-quality work with zero defects and meeting work deadlines in a safe manner. This role entails preparing surfaces for painting, applying paint and primer, and maintaining equipment while supporting various tasks within the plant as directed by the Plant Manager.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Applies paper and masking tape to protect unpainted surfaces, such as windows and trim.
Verifies and uses the proper paint as directed and according to specifications.
Applies primer or finish coat of paint using brush or roller.
Cleans paint equipment.
Assists in a variety of areas throughout the plant, including cleaning and sweeping, as directed by the Lead and/or Plant Manager
Cross-trains and performs the work of other job tasks as directed.
Job Qualifications:
Previous experience painting and detailing required.
Demonstrated ability to work with various hand tools and operate an industrial powered fork truck.
Valid Ontario driver’s license.
Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis.
Ability to meet the physical and sensory demands of the position.
