Nikita Construction is seeking an experienced Cabinet and Countertop Installer for our new construction projects with Sandman Hotel Group in Markham, ON.
Reporting to the foreman, the installer will be responsible for the accurate and professional installation of cabinets, countertops, and related millwork components. This role requires hands-on experience, physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while following safety guidelines and project timelines.
Your Duties and Responsibilities:
Install kitchen cabinets, vanities, and countertops (including granite, quartz, laminate, and other stone materials).
Read and interpret shop drawings and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
Prepare and level surfaces, verify dimensions, and make on-site adjustments as required.
Handle, move, and align heavy materials safely and efficiently.
Use appropriate tools and equipment for cutting, fitting, and securing cabinets and countertops.
Ensure all installations meet industry standards and project requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with supervisors.
Performs other duties as required
Requirements:
1–3 years of proven experience installing cabinets and countertops, including granite and quartz surfaces.
Strong understanding of material properties (stone, laminate, wood).
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficient with tools and equipment used in cabinet and countertop installation.
Knowledge of proper measurement, leveling, and secure installation techniques.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Knowledge of Federal/Provincial building codes.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet 10-12 hours/day working in outdoor weather and/or unregulated temperatures.
Must be able to lift 50lbs and use proper lifting techniques for heavy items weighing more than 25 kilograms.
Must be able to climb scaffoldings.
