The Position:
We are seeking a certified Welding Inspector to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Quality Manager, Nuclear, you will be responsible for performing visual inspections of weldments according to defined criteria.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Inspect welded joints for visible defects, correct dimensions, bead formation and conformance to the drawing specifications
Document inspection results by completing weld inspection reports and logs
Coordinate with the NDE inspector to identify sample weld joints for inspection according to technical requirements
Collaborate with the Quality team to establish and implement best practices for quality control on the manufacturing and assembly floor
Work with Quality Engineers and Quality Manager to determine best practices to control quality on the manufacturing/assembly floor
Scan quality records into the system for traceability and inclusion into the history file
What We’re Looking For:
CSA W178.2 Level II Welding Inspector Certificate
At least 2 years of weld inspection experience under CSA W59
A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
The ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications
Working knowledge of ISO 9001, N299 and NQA-1 is an asset
