Mariposa Dairy is a leading manufacturer of award-winning cheeses based in Lindsay, Ontario. Our aim is to provide the highest quality cheese products in North America through the efforts of our skilled and valued team for the benefit of our customers and community.
Under the direction of the Production Supervisors and Lead Hand, this position will be responsible for co-ordinating the operation of the Dish Room and its equipment in accordance with all Dairy procedures, safety and health regulations to provide superior work output. This position has a flexible start and shift hours will vary in order to meet the changing requirements of the production schedule.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Run the various equipment that cleans, washes, sanitizes and dries machine parts, tooling and equipment.
Fill out appropriate production reports accurately and as required.
Assist in set up or tear down of machines as required.
Assist with rolling or packing as required.
At end of day be responsible for the cleaning up of equipment in preparation for sanitation.
Communicate effectively with Supervisors, Lead Hands and other employees.
Maintain good communication between all team members.
Work in an efficient, timely, safe and productive manner at all times.
Contribute to continuous improvement activities including training of others.
Any other duties as required (laundry etc.).
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Flexibility of hours when necessary.
Some work on statutory holidays and / or weekends.
Good team player.
Detail oriented.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Able to work in ranges of temperature and humidity.
Safe handling of chemicals and proper use of PPE.
MINIMUM CRITERIA
Must have good attendance.
Attention to detail.
Must be able to follow SOP, GMP and complete forms accurately.
Must have a good and positive attitude towards change and other employees.
Must have mechanical aptitude.
Able to work in a team environment.
