Position: Quality Assurance Supervisor - Manufacturing
Location: Oakville, Ontario – This role requires to be on-site on a full-time basis

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a key role in partnering with our operations team to bring quality and regulatory standards to life — making sure every product meets our strict requirements and exceeds customer expectations.

What would be your main responsibilities as a QA Supervisor? :
Working closely with the QA Manager to support the overall effectiveness of the quality department and quality systems, ensuring consistent application of best practices related to testing/inspection methods, analysis, and auditing techniques
Overseeing the day-to-day activities of the laboratory and QA Technicians to ensure all production quality activities are completed ensuring maintenance of accurate records of quality assurance activities, including test results, food safety checks, inspection reports, and corrective actions taken
Conducting regular inspections (i.e. GMP, production processes, etc.) to identify conformance to and deviations from quality standards.
Performing document reviews focusing on completeness and compliance.
Tracking and managing laboratory key performance indicators with a focus on continuous improvement objectives.
Tracking and managing laboratory supplies and consumables inventories to ensure continuity of testing.
Managing maintenance and calibration programs for laboratory and relevant production equipment.
Working closely with Operations Management & Staff to promote and drive a strong Food Safety Culture
Providing support during regulatory and customer audits, ensuring readiness and compliance
Maintaining and supporting the Hold and Release program
Aiding in investigations for Supplier NC and for customer complaints.
Supporting and focusing on on-time closure of deviations and corrective action/preventative action items related to internally and externally identified non-conformances.
Handling special projects and other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will bring the following proven qualifications and skills:
Minimum of five-years (5) experience in quality assurance, quality control role working in a food manufacturing environment with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Post-secondary Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Science, Food Science, Chemistry or related field
Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
Ability to build collaborative relationships by developing, maintaining and strengthening partnerships with internal stakeholders
Strong communication skills and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally as well as coach and motivate a QA Team
Experience with internal audits, CAPA and customer complaint resolution
Excellent technical skills, problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with quality management systems and related software are advantageous (Salesforce, ERP).
Teamwork orientation and flexibility in a high-performance culture
Ability to make decisions in a timely manner and resolve conflicts
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and familiarity with regulatory requirements such as but not limited to BRC 9, OHSA, WSIA, ESA, CSA, Ontario Fire Code and HRA.

Compensation Information: The annual base pay range for this position is reasonably expected to be $71,600 to $111,900. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is only a part of the total rewards package - this role will also be eligible for a generous incentive program and benefits. Quadra’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. Please note that the base pay shown qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
