AV Group NB Inc. Nackawic Mill is currently recruiting for the following position: Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC)
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Manager of Steam and Recovery, the successful candidate will coordinate the activities efficiently between operations, maintenance and services on a daily basis to maximize production while ensuring cost, health & safety, environment, quality and human resources objectives are met. Ensure mill compliance with Corporate Principles & Guidelines and applicable legislation.
Responsibilities associated to this role include, but are not limited to:
Prioritize work requests that could impact final product quality, production, cost and safety;
Meet with the production team on a daily basis to review work requests and establish priorities;
Coordinate maintenance activities with operations to minimize production losses on a daily basis;
Identify opportunities to reduce cost on maintenance, material, cleaning and consumable items;
Review safety work requests on a frequent basis to ensure compliance with mill policy, provincial and federal laws;
Ensure full compliance with collective agreement foster sound union/management relations;
Plan to have qualified resources to perform lock-out, clean-up and any other operational task required for work execution;
Assist the planner in the work preparation;
Coordinate area and major shutdowns.
Candidate qualifications:
Mechanical or Chemical Engineer degree from a recognized post-secondary institution;
2 years of experience in a related industry/function/field;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to deliver in a fast-paced dynamic industrial environment;
Exceptional organization, decision making and problem-solving skills;
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite;
Knowledge of an ERP system (Maximo, SAP, AutoCAD, PI) would be considered an asset;
Experience with the IDCON process would be considered an asset;
Experience within a unionized environment would be considered an asset.
