Finance - Accountant
Assist with posting and updating of payroll related transactions and the preparation of various reports for analysis after each pay period.
Coordinate the provision of monthly payroll information to the Ministry of Labour for subsidy claim as per contract agreement.
Post journal entries for Bank reconciliation.
Update Prepaid files monthly and post journal entries to adjust balance as required.
Prepare daily Sales report for General Managers to verify sales margins over and under predetermined thresholds.
Update data file for reporting eligible training expenses for the annual filing of the Contribution to the workforce Skills Development and Recognition Fund (1% of total payroll).
Confirm WSIB and EHT amounts per division for monthly remittance.
Implement new procedures and internal controls as directed by Controller
Verify certain invoices such as cell phone, Group insurance and Gas cards to prepare the journal entry for AP posting.
Analyze customer files that require lengthy payment application verifications.
Prepare various month end report and accrual entries
Post Capital assets additions and depreciation entries monthly
Consolidate Intercompany A/R & A/P entries
Execute and monitor compliance with accounting and reporting related procedures.
