Overview
The Restaurant Host is responsible for providing a welcoming and efficient experience for customers as they enter the venue. This role involves managing the flow of guests, assisting with seating arrangements, and ensuring the host stand and dining area are organized and ready for service. Must be comfortable working in outdoor conditions.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $17.60 CAD and is tip eligible.

Responsibilities
Maintaining host stand area, ensuring organization and cleanliness at all times
Possess a working knowledge of the venue (location, direction, events, policies etc.)
Effectively manage guest flow to maximize seating capacity
Know all table numbers and maintain awareness of which servers are in each section
Communicate with Managers and FOH staff during events to maintain proper guest flow throughout the venue
Assist management and FOH staff in all necessary preparations and set up for events
Manage the guest waitlist
Escort guests to their table
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Previous experience in a customer service position
Strong oral communication skills
High attention to detail
Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum
Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, restaurant experience
Must be able to work different shifts, which may include holidays, evenings and weekends
Able to legally work in Canada
Must be Smart Serve Certified
