Job Description
Under the supervision of the department manager, the operator must adjust his machine, respecting established standards and the order of priorities.
Role and responsibilities
Checks that batches of material dedicated to the operation are adequate.
Regularly checks with the “Buffer Manager” that the order of priority of tasks is adequate and corresponds to the requirements of the production flow according to TOC principles.
The operator communicates with his team leader any anomalies or variants in the product so as to eliminate from production faulty parts which could be rejected further down the production line.
The operator adjusts the machine according to the type of material used.
The operator places parts at the machine infeed and retrieves them at the outfeed.
Repeats operation if necessary.
Re-arrange parts into batches, ready for the next stage of production.
Perform assembly tasks as required
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
High school diploma, equivalent or work experience
Manual dexterity and attention to detail
Technical problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a group
Ability to adapt quickly to different situations
Positive attitude
Ability to lift and push 50 pounds, 50 times per day.
Knowledge of the VKS system – an asset
Shift Available
Day (5am to 3:30pm) Monday to Thursday
Day (7am to 3:30pm) Monday to Friday
Evening (3:30pm to 2am) Monday to Thursday
Evening (3:30pm to midnight) Monday to Friday
Weekend (6am to 6pm) Friday to Sunday
