JOB SUMMARY:
In this position, you will work alongside and support sales representatives in
their day-to-day operations as well as provide backup to Customer Service/Admin.
What you will do:
- Handle all customer inquiries received by telephone, mail, fax and in person,
providing accurate information on product characteristics, pricing and
delivery.
- Process customer orders using the Synapse system and co-ordinate delivery and
pick up dates with the plant.
- Preparation of shop drawings on AutoCAD, interacting with the customer to
design roofing and contour drawings to customer specifications and
maintenance of job files.
- Providing estimates on new customer inquiries.
- Maintain an updated supply of design manuals.
- Back-up to administrative staff.
- Meeting all safety requirements and regulations.
- Ensure a clean work environment.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Skills/ Knowledge:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or Architectural Technician/ Technology
preferred.
- Prior AutoCAD experience required
- Previous experience in sales/ customer service
- Construction experience an asset.
- Competency in AutoCAD Release 13.
- Strong technical understanding of construction materials/products.
- Strong analytical and design skills.
- Able to read a blueprint.
- Strong competency at using software programs within Windows environment,
specifically Word, Excel, e-mail.
- Background and/or training in credit and collections.
- Excellent verbal communications and customer relations skills.
- Attention to detail and well organized.
