The Office and Facilities Manager will ensure that Canaccord Genuity’s office environments are professional, safe, and efficient for all employees and visitors. This leadership role manages operations, vendor partnerships, and small capital projects while driving a high-performance team focused on exceptional service and cost-effective facilities solutions. Reporting to the VP, Real Estate & Facilities, this role is critical in maintaining high standards across Western Canadian offices. Responsibilities: Oversee daily facilities operations for the Vancouver office, serving approximately 480 employees. Directly manage an Office Services team of six, including supervising the Facilities Coordinator. Foster a service-oriented team culture that prioritizes responsiveness and professionalism. Conduct facility assessments to identify needs across shared spaces (kitchens, copy rooms, mailrooms, etc.). Address facility-related issues with actionable insights, partnering with remote managers as needed. Support facility needs across Western Canada with some travel required. Lead occupancy planning, including expansions, relocations, and workspace setups for new hires. Liaise with building management and internal departments to resolve operational and compliance issues. Maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors and contractors and ensure service levels are met. Manage service contracts, sourcing, negotiations, and budget tracking for maintenance and capital projects. Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, emergency preparedness protocols, and internal standards. Prepare periodic status reports measuring progress on projects, initiatives and issue resolution. Monitor industry trends and workplace needs to anticipate future improvements. Coordinate internal communications and logistics related to building operations, hours, and relocations. Maintain office appearance and hospitality standards that create a welcoming environment for employees and clients. Skills & Qualifications: 7+ years’ experience in facilities management, office operations, or a related role, ideally within a corporate environment. Demonstrated leadership experience, including direct management of a team. Strong customer service orientation with a proactive, hands-on, problem-solving approach. Proven understanding of building systems (such as HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and electrical), vendor relationships, and office operations. Familiarity with health and safety standards and regulatory compliance in a corporate setting. Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with employees at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; AutoCAD is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards in office presentation and operations. Flexibility to work outside regular office hours as necessary (for after-hours building maintenance or special events). Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information. Willingness to travel to other locations as needed (15%).
