Description
Under the supervision of the Shipping and Receiving Department Supervisor, the clerk must ensure that the material received and sent meets the evaluation criteria and enter the data into the computer. He must ensure that the warehouse is organized, clean and safe. The clerk must be versatile and resourceful.
Role & Responsabilities
Receipt of goods
Carry out the reception and verify the identification, quantity and quality of the material.
Sort products by store.
Give the delivery note and a copy of the P.O. to the purchasing department.
Shipping of goods
From the order, prepares material; loads and unloads trucks from carriers.
Enters data into various computer systems (Excel, internet, etc.).
Prepare bills of lading.
Fill out the required transportation and customs documentation.
Call the carriers.
Prepare orders for delivery.
Carry out returns of merchandise.
Ensure that packaging is adequate.
Warehouse Maintenance
Ensure that products are properly classified in the warehouse (number, location, etc.).
Replace material returns in the warehouse.
Maintain the security and cleanliness of the warehouse.
Others
Ensures the succession of one or more team colleagues during leaves of absence.
Receptive to assist production during periods of high or low traffic.
Any other task requested by your supervisor.
Prerequisite
High school diploma or equivalency, or work experience.
Minimum of 6 months in shipping and receiving.
Experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
Ability to meet deadlines and align productivity with the organization's performance indicators and objectives.
Adaptability, learning, and problem solving skills.
Good manual dexterity, meticulousness, and resourcefulness.
Ease with computers.
