Position Title: Registered Massage Therapist and/or Certified Spa Practitioner Company Name: CMH Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures Reports To: Lodge Manager Location of Work: Remote worksite near various locations in BC (near Revelstoke, Golden, Radium, Valemount) Job Status: Full-time, Seasonal FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Number of Positions: 15 Direct Reports: 0 Date of Last Review: August 2025 Desired Start Date: Mid-November 2025 Position Overview The Registered Massage Therapist and/or Certified Spa Practitioner (RMT/CSP) is responsible for providing massage services to CMH guests, leading dynamic warm-up class each morning, and responsible for the daily upkeep of the spa area at the lodge. This person will work as part of a team and be highly organized, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a seasonal job opportunity. Rate of pay is based on a 10-hour day for guest exchange days, and a 5-hour day plus booked massage times on massage days. A typical schedule consists of 2 weeks on and 1 week off. Food and accommodation is provided while on shift for staff joining our team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead a comprehensive and dynamic 30-minute warm up class, which includes a variety of movement patterns, on all mornings apart from a guest exchange day. Take full ownership of the spa & fitness facilities inclusive of the massage rooms and executing daily and weekly cleaning duties related to these spaces. Prepare massage rooms and ensure a calm and inviting environment. Manage the guest massage schedule including charge entry for completed massages. Assist the lodge team in the cleaning-up of meal services. Be actively involved in the cleaning of common spaces on exchange days to effectively prepare the lodge for incoming guests. Perform radio duty, as required, to support field operations. Willingness to assist other members of the lodge team as needed. Help support implementation of CMH health and safety initiatives. Help support implementation of CMH sustainability initiatives. Train, participate in and provide support, as required, during emergency response situations. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 1000 hours of certified massage training with education documentation. Food Safe Certificate, preferred. Experience working in a remote lodge, preferred. Background in luxury hospitality, preferred. Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Qualities Demonstrates integrity, discretion, and problem solving. Has demonstrated attention-to-detail, with accurate data-entry skills and abilities. Able to communicate in an effective and timely manner over the phone, in-person, and in written communication. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and professional working relationships with peers. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as an ability to learn other relevant software platforms. Able to prioritize tasks in a complex and fast-paced environment with seasonal workload fluctuations and changing priorities. Confidence to interact with all levels of the company in a hub-and-spoke model in which many individuals are remote. Working Conditions This type of lodge work setting is challenging and demanding. Successful staff are intrinsically motivated by a passion for massage experiences in the backcountry and creating memorable experiences with our guests. This job is in a remote area of British Columbia. Employees are required to find their own way to and from the lodge for work shifts which includes driving on logging roads. Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 30 pounds occasionally. Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a daily basis. This position will be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays based on the needs of the business. Compensation A competitive daily rate will be provided starting at $216.88 for exchange days and $89.25 for massage days based on skillset and experience.
