Swan Valley Co-op is hiring a full-time term (15 months) Crop Inputs Advisor at our Agro location in Swan River, MB.

What you'll do:
Reporting to the Agro Division Manager you will assist in the areas of product and sales support, services while building their knowledge of agronomic products for the benefit of local co-op customers. You will provide support to the Agro Department in the areas of farm customer service responsibilities, including crop planning, agronomic troubleshooting, fertility, and crop protection recommendations to enable customers to make informed decisions. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Assist the Agro team to achieve and maintain sales, margins, and inventory targets for existing customers and expand sales to new customers by helping to offer comprehensive operational and/or sales support services.
Aid in farm customer service responsibilities including:
Field scouting
Agronomic troubleshooting
Crop planning
Fertility
Crop protection recommendations
Work with the Agro Manager to ensure inventory is in place to match demand.
Participate in supplier sales target planning.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Agriculture and some or all of the following apply:
You have a Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, a post-secondary education in agronomy or a Certified Crop Advisor designation.
You have a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
A passion for agriculture.
You have a Class 5 driver’s license.
You have strong communication skills both written and oral.
You have the ability to multi-task and problem solve.
You’re honest and trustworthy, results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
