Tenstorrent is leading the industry on cutting-edge AI technology,
revolutionizing performance expectations, ease of use, and cost efficiency. With
AI redefining the computing paradigm, solutions must evolve to unify innovations
in software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors. Our
diverse team of technologists have developed a high performance RISC-V CPU from
scratch, and share a passion for AI and a deep desire to build the best AI
platform possible. We value collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to
solving hard problems. We are growing our team and looking for contributors of
all seniorities.
At Tenstorrent, we’re pushing the boundaries of AI/ML hardware platforms and
blazing trails with next-gen high-speed memory technology that powers our
performance and scalability. We’re looking for passionate engineers to take
charge of validating and enabling our cutting-edge GDDR7 PHY and controller IP.
This role is hybrid and based in one of the following locations: Toronto,
Canada; Vancouver, Canada; New Taipei City, Taiwan; Pangyo, South Korea; or
Santa Clara, California.
We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the
interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and
offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this
posting.
Who You Are
- A passionate engineer excited to help shape the future of AI hardware
alongside a world-class team.
- Eager to get hands on high-speed memory interfaces, firmware development, and
low-level C/C++ programming.
- Fascinated by cutting-edge memory tech like GDDR7, DDR5, or LPDDR5—and ready
to dive deep into the challenges they bring.
- An automation enthusiast who leverages Python and shell scripting to
accelerate testing and innovation.
What We Need
- A curiosity-driven engineer interested in JEDEC memory standards and a
passion for understanding how PHY-level training flows operate.
- Someone who enjoys being hands-on in the lab—diving into measurements with
oscilloscopes, BERTs, and protocol analyzers to uncover insights.
- A problem-solver who thrives on debugging tricky hardware and firmware
interactions across silicon and system-level platforms.
- An eager collaborator who’s excited to work with memory vendors and
contribute to early-stage validation, even in pre-silicon environments.
What You Will Learn
- Take ownership of cutting-edge post-silicon validation for next-gen GDDR7 PHY
and controller IP — from the thrilling first bring-up all the way to full
coverage closure.
- Master the art of crafting and executing validation plans that follow JEDEC
standards while tackling real-world system challenges, boosting your
expertise in high-speed memory technologies.
- Dive deep into advanced testing techniques like PVT, signal integrity, and
power integrity margin analysis to ensure top-tier performance and
reliability.
- Develop powerful firmware tools and automation scripts that drive efficiency
— all while collaborating with top memory vendors and cross-functional teams
to solve complex system-level puzzles.
