Employee Development and Training Manager Company: Boeing Canada Operations Ltd Boeing Canada is seeking an Employee Development and Training Manager, reporting to the Production Systems Training Senior Leader, working out of the Winnipeg, Manitoba office. The Employee Development and Training Manager will join the Boeing’s Production Systems Training (PST) organization. This role will manage a team of professional-level learning and development specialists who deliver Manufacturing, Quality and Safety classroom training, including certification training required per the FAA and Transport Canada's Civil Aviation Directorate. (TCCA). Position Responsibilities: Manages employees performing activities to research, design, develop, implement/deliver and maintain processes, tools and training to facilitate employee development. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees. Partner with Operations and Scheduling teams to ensure instructors are scheduled correctly and equipped with all necessary course-ware including tools, parts and materials, software access and personal protective equipment Connect with Client services and Operations for feedback on effectiveness of training and impact of training in Production Operations in their key areas Prepare for training contingencies and manage the effectiveness and efficiency in meeting them Keep Instructors connected with changes and trends in curriculum and in operations process Coach, counsel, mentor and provide developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand their capabilities Provide on-going developmental feedback Promote employee recognition and build a departmental culture that improves employee satisfaction and retains a skilled and motivated workforce Recognize contributions of individuals and teams to improve employee satisfaction and retain a skilled and motivated workforce Monitor instructor performance Ensure adequate instructor resources are qualified and available to meet business demand per required program schedules and employee needs Provide instructor resources to other domestic and international locations as required to ensure global business demand is met Partner with 3rd party suppliers that provide instructor-led classroom delivery services to ensure 3rd party instructor resources are qualified per process and available to meet business demand per program schedules and employee needs Partner with Supplier Management to provide classroom delivery/technical performance coaching to Boeing suppliers as required by contractual requirements and other business needs Ensure staff members comply with instructor qualification and other related processes This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 5+ years of experience in training and development 5+ years of experience leading teams and developing solutions to complex situations Experience within a complex manufacturing environment Experience influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and partnerships across functions Must be legally able to work in Canada Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data. Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience): Bachelor's degree or higher Experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment Experience working in a Quality organization or working directly with a Quality organization to provide products or services Experience with learning data and learning management systems (LMS) Additional Information: This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada.
