About Ocean Steel
Incorporated in 1955, Ocean Steel has grown to become one of the largest steel fabricators in Eastern Canada and one of the most respected steel suppliers on the Eastern Seaboard. It services several markets, including all of Canada, the Eastern United States, Bermuda and the Caribbean. Ocean designs, fabricates and erects structural steel for buildings and bridges. It also manufactures and installs platework, such as breechings, stacks, ducts, penstocks, process & storage tanks and custom process-equipment. Ocean Steel has two, modern New Brunswick-based plants in Saint John and in Fredericton. We currently have sales offices in Saint John, New Brunswick, Burlington, Massachusetts and Conklin, New York.
Job Summary
The Document Printer is critical to ensuring communication of flow of work between the office and the plants. The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of organization and will have sufficient technical expertise to effectively prioritize and manage the printing workload. The Document Printer must be highly committed to delivering top notch customer service and precision quality document reproduction on a tightly managed production schedule.
Responsibilities
Ensuring document transfers between office and shop are completed in a timely and efficient manner
Effectively utilizing printing technology to produce high-quality document reproduction
Packaging drawings to appropriate individuals in a timely manner
Creating and maintaining electronic copy files
Printing various drawings for employees throughout the Group as required
Some data entry and maintaining supplies for the print room
Technical Requirements
Minimum High School Education
Strong computer ability is required
Business Requirements
Ability to work independently when necessary
High attention to detail
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Cultural Requirements
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with various departments internally and externally within the organization
