You will interact with professional practice, clinical staff, information technology, quality improvement, decision support and health information management; ensuring that information is available to, and appropriately used by, clinicians, managers and directors to enhance clinical care and patient health outcomes. In collaboration with the Information Technology and Professional Practice teams, you will actively participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of informatics projects, including the Advanced Clinical Phases of Meditech Expanse to improve clinical processes and outcomes. Job Duties & Responsibilities Implementing and evaluating systems for clinical and administrative workflows that support interdisciplinary healthcare team activities Ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously Collaboratively liaises with clinical staff and physicians, management, IT professionals, Finance, Decision Support, and Health Information Management staff Identifies opportunities for process improvement and collaborates with others to enhance orientation and training related to clinical documentation and data utility Provides guidance and support to users of electronic systems to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the systems within patient care Identifies opportunities to integrate data utilization into quality improvement and practice change initiatives and supports data utilization by managers and directors What you bring to the role: University degree in either Healthcare Science, Computer science or related discipline 2 years recent informatics experience preferred Proven proficient computer skills and working experience with computerized patient care systems, ideally MEDITECH Expanse clinical software Excellent communication, leadership, project management and change management skills. Demonstrated analytical, consultative and critical-thinking skills in a quality-focused and team-driven environment with a working knowledge of quality improvements principles Excellent interpersonal, team oriented, collaborative, and facilitation skills Demonstrates support for eHealth initiatives across the organization Maintains membership in relevant professional organizations and up-to-date knowledge of current trends in informatics and participates in reflective practice to continually improve performance You encompass Oak Valley Health’s core values and live the words of Respect, Trust, Commitment, Compassion and Courage Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards Demonstrated a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with occasional off-shift requirements Please note schedules may change due to operational needs.
