As a scientist in the global Hitachi Energy Research organization, you will propose and lead cutting edge research projects to push the boundaries of knowledge and technology for Hitachi Energy's future products and services. The seniority level for this position will align with the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications. How you’ll make an impact Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems, or Master’s with equivalent industrial experience Experience in one or more of the following areas: power system modeling, dynamics, operation, control, or planning. Prior industrial experience with one or more control technologies like SCADA, EMS, DMS, or substation automation is highly desired. Knowledge of reliability standards and/or operation guidelines such as those provided by NERC or ISOs is preferred. Prior industrial experience in transmission or distribution control room operations (frontend or backend) is highly desired.
