Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel is seeking a Part-time Food & Beverage Supervisor!
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Food & Beverage department. Excellent internal and external customer service skills are required to be displayed at all times.
The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities, executing the following in support of the company’s vision, mission and values:
Reconcile all cash floats and follow proper cash systems policies and procedures
Ensure all employees provide exceptional and efficient customer service
Supervisor employees and ensure completion of probationary reviews, annual reviews, and provide coaching to employees in a positive manner
Manage employee’s performance, attendance and issue corrective actions as required
Ensure all employees work in a safe manner and adhere to all food safety and health and safety regulations and procedures
Ensure employees adhere to company’s dress code, including reporting to work in a clean uniform, proper hygiene and grooming
Complete and manage inventory control for the department, order inventory as required
Assig tasks and duties accordingly to employees
Maintain payroll system and exception logs such as authorizing shifts, calculating bi-weekly time sheets, managing the attendance management program of employees
Ensure employees are fully trained and understands the operation of all food and beverage equipment
Report and complete daily paperwork as required
Maintain a professional and courteous rapport with all patrons and internal customers
Handle all customer concerns and complaints in a respectful and prompt manner
Demonstrate leadership skills by providing development opportunities for employees
Attend meetings and training seminars are required
Perform other duties as required by the Food & Beverage Manager
Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in Food and Beverage, Front of House experience is required
Minimum 1 year of supervisory or managerial experience
Must be Smart Serve certified
Proven knowledge of food and wine
Effective leadership and ability to provide coaching to employees
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, Word, Outlook
Must have experience with P.O.S. systems
Bartending and serving experience in a high-volume bar and restaurant is required
Experience with inventory control systems
Must have strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build rapport with internal and external customers
Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights. The hours of work will be based on operational needs. Ready to embark on your next adventure?
