Your Opportunity
The role of an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer is to work on projects of all sizes. You will be required to own the engineering of regular designs and assist work on advanced designs under the guidance and supervision of a Senior Engineer. You will perform a variety of tasks which will include calculations and field work requiring travel.
The candidate may be assigned leadership roles for discreet scope elements on projects where they will be responsible for the delivery of scope, schedule and budget for multidisciplinary teams. Your home office will be either Saskatoon, SK or Sudbury, ON.
Your Key Responsibilities
Supports project team in development of design documentation, plans and reports for relevant project design elements.
Assists in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
Prepares and revises documentation in various project phases.
Coordinates with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
Assists in the review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to request for information, prepares site observation reports, and performs other contract administration tasks.
Assists with the development of job specific discipline specifications.
Assists in the evaluation and selection of mechanical equipment and materials.
Attends project coordination meetings with internal team members, external consultants and clients.
Participates in value engineering and basic cost estimating.
Performs calculations to analyze and design mechanical systems using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
