Wage Benefits:
In addition to regular wages, regular Wage employees receive 11.2% in lieu of benefits and vacation leave:• 5.2 percent of regular wage earnings instead of paid holidays. • 6 percent of regular wage earnings instead of annual vacation pay.
In addition to the regular wages and the additional pay in lieu of benefits and vacation, regular wage employees are entitled to shift premium pay:• $3.25 per hour for weekends and holidays• $2.75 per hour for evenings

Hidden Valley Ski Resort is located in Cypress Hills Provincial Park, (also known as Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park). The Park spans the Southeast corner of Alberta and the Southwest corner of Saskatchewan. Are you looking for an opportunity to work at a Ski hill in Southern Alberta as a Snow School Supervisor? The Snow School Supervisor will work with the Snow School Instructors, as well as be part of a team to provide ski hill guests with a positive, effective and efficient interaction and experience. If you like to ski or snowboard and teach “how to ” lessons, apply today!Snow School Supervisor duties include, but are not limited to:
• Providing ski and/or snowboard lessons to members of the public of all ages, including school groups.• Delivering consistent and positive guest experiences.• Ensuring correct operating procedures for the department are followed.• Supervising staff within department including time sheet management, scheduling, staff work planning and training.• Ensuring correct departmental policies and procedures are followed.• Effectively dealing with customer complaints.• Clearing snow and ice from walkways and parking lots using hand shovels, snow blowers and other snow removal equipment• Providing ongoing staff development in teaching and skill development.• Having a sound knowledge of teaching methodologies from CSIA/CASI.This position primarily works outdoors in variable winter weather conditions and cold temperatures and requires you have great physical stamina. Required: • High School diploma and two years of related experience in teaching, coaching or working with youth. • Minimum Level 2 CSIA (Ski Instructor Certification) or CASI (Snowboard Instructor Certification) or equivalent.Additional Requirements to be successful in the role:• Minimum one year of supervisory experience. • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and 3-year Driver’s Abstract.• Recognized current Standard First Aid Certificate.• Current CPR Level "C" Certificate / AED.Additional Assets to be successful in the role:• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills.• Level 3 CASI with trainer certification.• Knowledge of park facilities/services, especially Hidden Valley Ski Resort.• Sound knowledge of ski industry practice within a snow school environment.Minimum recruitment standards outline the minimum education and experience required for appointment to a job classification. Terms of employment:
• Shifts are 8 hours a day, up to 40 hours a week.• Candidates must be willing to work weekends and holidays, varying start dates from December 2025, until March 2026, pending end of ski season and operational needs. • Multiple positions are available.• Various low-cost accommodations are available for rent in Elkwater.• There is no public transportation to the Ski Resort, you must have reliable transportation to and from work. The Ski Resort is located about 10 minutes from Elkwater and about 40 minutes from Medicine Hat.Any costs associated with obtaining required documents/checks as noted or interview travel expenses, will be the responsibility of the candidate.
