Join our Fairmont family today!Job DescriptionStarting Wage - $21.08What you will be doing:Drive, load and unload food, banquet equipment, glassware, china and chemicals between all loading docks of the hotel in a secure and timely manner.Assist all departments with special deliveries on site or outside of the hotel.Ensuring daily inspection of the vehicle is filled out and report any damages.Maintaining the cleanliness of the delivery truck and loading docks.Participate in the removal of garbage & recycling according to the rules set in place by the hotel and Parks Canada.Participating in departmental meetingsEnsuring inter-departmental communication and cooperation in the interest of better guest satisfactionEnsure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiativesAdhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiativesCarry out any other tasks as assignedQualificationsYour skillset includes:Must have a valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent) and must obtain a current driver's abstract free of any serious demerit pointsSelf-motivated, with the ability to make effective decisionsDemonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervisionAbility to maintain high service levels under pressurePhysically able to carry out the demands of the position including, bending, heavy lifting and carrying heavy itemsAble to push, pull extremely heavy carts in and out of the truckAble to lift up equipment up to 50lbs often during the workdayYou may be required to work on holidays, weekends, overnights and other non-day shifts.
